Over the past six months, I have led a transformative SEO campaign that delivered outstanding results. Following the launch of a newly optimised website, my role as an Account Manager involved overseeing strategy execution, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring that performance targets were met. This period of work has been a testament to the effectiveness of a structured and analytical approach to SEO, underpinned by strong project management and collaboration across teams.
From the outset, my focus was on building a solid technical foundation while strategically targeting high-impact keywords. Managing the site migration was a key component, ensuring smooth execution and rapid indexing by Google. The success of this process was reflected in the site's swift visibility improvements and the strong organic performance achieved in the months following launch.
Keyword performance and visibility increased significantly, demonstrating the effectiveness of the targeting strategy. Keywords previously ranking beyond position 50 saw notable improvements, with a substantial reduction in lower-ranking terms. Visibility gains were achieved through careful content planning, data-driven recommendations, and ongoing refinement, ensuring the site’s authority and relevance within search engine results.
Organic traffic growth was another key indicator of success, with traffic accounting for nearly 25% of all site visits. Clicks and impressions trended consistently upwards, confirming that the site was appearing for more relevant searches. Engaged sessions increased steadily month-on-month, reinforcing the importance of ongoing content and technical optimisation. Managing these improvements required detailed reporting, data analysis, and clear communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and continued buy-in from all parties involved.
Branded and non-branded search trends highlighted another area of success, as location-based terms performed strongly. The new site attracted significantly more traffic compared to older legacy platforms, shifting visibility away from outdated portals and positioning it as the primary destination for users. This strategic shift required a nuanced approach, balancing legacy presence with the need to establish a clear SEO focus for the future.
Navigating industry changes was another critical aspect of this project. December 2024 brought two back-to-back Google algorithm updates, creating volatility across rankings. Despite these challenges, the strategic groundwork ensured minimal disruption, with keyword positions stabilising and even improving in key areas. While some branded terms saw temporary declines, generic high-intent keywords gained traction, positioning the site more competitively within its market.
The results achieved throughout this project underscore my ability to manage complex digital campaigns, combining strategic foresight with hands-on execution. My experience in stakeholder management, performance reporting, and campaign optimisation played a crucial role in ensuring consistent progress and measurable success. Moving forward, additional refinements in content development, on-page SEO, and technical improvements will further strengthen organic visibility and engagement.
